2 killed in hit-and-run cases in Ahmedabad

Ahmedabad, Oct 24 (IANS) Two people were killed in discrete mishaps on S.G Parkway in the city, sources said on Monday.

The casualties’ families have held up protests against two drivers for driving imprudently and snuffing out two lives late on Sunday night.

In the main occurrence, Chandkheda region’s occupant and rail line representative Mukesh Goswami was going towards Pakwan square, when a truck hit him from the back at the SG parkway.

Mukesh was raced to Sola Government medical clinic, where he surrendered to his head wounds.

A protest has been stopped with the SG Interstate traffic police headquarters against the unidentified transporter.

On Sola span, a pillion rider was hit by a warm substantial blender truck on Sunday night, killing one Sourabh Gaur on the spot, while his companion Sonu Oza experienced minor wounds.

Traffic police are searching for the two wayward transporters. With the assistance of CCTV film, police will find both the drivers soon, said a police headquarters official.
