Man shot dead in TN over dispute on stealing goats

Chennai, Oct 9 (IANS) A 53-year-elderly person was shot dead on Sunday in Tamil Nadu’s Mettupalayam region after he claimed that an individual had taken his goats from the ranch.

The person in question, recognized as Chinnasami, as per Mettupalayam police was a rancher who raised steers professionally. He saw that a portion of his goats were absent and observed that the goats were lifted by somebody.

Nearby individuals informed Chinnasami that an individual, Ranjit (28) was behind one or the other he was consistently taking goats in the town.

On hearing this, Chinnasamy defied Ranjit prompting a quarrel between the two. Police said that Ranjit faked obliviousness and said that he had not lifted any goats having a place with Chinnasami.

The rancher was not persuaded by Ranjit’s disavowal and attacked him. The occurrence, as per the Mettupalayam police happened on Saturday evening and Ranjit left the spot.

Early Sunday morning, Ranjit returned with a solitary barrel stacked weapon called up Chinnasami, and discharged at him. Chinnasami died on the spot.

Mettupalayam police hurried to the spot and captured Ranjit, who was stowing away at a companion’s place. Police said that they are directing an examination concerning whether Ranjit has been a constant guilty party and the wellspring of his weapon.
